BiographyCinemoz is the leading free to watch Video on Demand platform in the MENA region delivering an impressive array of TV shows, documentaries, short features and movies from and to the Arab world. Cinemoz is currently planning exciting new products and content releases across multiple devices and we are looking for front-end developers who are passionate about user experience to help us deliver a world-class experience and grow our audience. You will be joining a cross-disciplinary team of marketers, designers, front-end and full-stack developers whose objective is to reach 1 million users every month across a variety of devices, connected TVs, smartphones, tablets and of course the Web. Expect a few weeks of training to get acquainted with our development tools and practices, you will then be expected to move fast and deliver clean and maintainable code for every feature that you will be responsible for. 1. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES • Build efficient and reusable front-end components. • Iterate new features, enhancements and user experiments. • Develop expertise in consumer media devices (TV, Mobile, Web, Chromecast, etc.). • Develop expertise in video delivery standards (HLS, DASH, DRM, etc.) • Develop expertise in internet advertising standards. (VAST, OpenRTB, etc.) • Apply and improve our development practices and tooling/stack. • Participate in design and code reviews. 2. REQUIREMENTS • Solid experience with Web development and related tooling (Webpack, Postcss, etc.) • Experience with a modern web front-end framework. (We use Vue) • Love of building great software with an eye/feel for UI and UX. • Fast learner, problem solver, and team player • Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Nice to Have: • Agile methodology awareness. • Experience with Sketch or InVision. • Know your way around a Unix Shell. • Familiarity with Git and Phabricator. • iOS, Android, Tizen or Roku development experience.
